Vets' Kitchen was set up by veterinary expert Joe Inglis in 2005 with the aim of creating the very best foods and supplements for pets using only high quality natural ingredients. By developing the Vet's Kitchen, Joe & Jill's and Joe & Jack's ranges of foods, which use top quality natural ingredients to promote better long term health and well-being Joe has been able extend his veterinary expertise far beyond the walls of his surgery.
The new Vet's Kitchen range of foods and supplements has built on the success of the Joe & Jack's and Joe & Jill's 100% natural foods by maintaining the same natural, hypoallergenic approach, but adding in the scientific active ingredients such as nucleotides for the immune system, cranberries for the urinary tract and prebiotics for digestive health to create recipes that really deliver visible improvements in long term health and well-being. And the success of this approach has been clear to see, with thousands of pets now enjoying the benefits that Vet's Kitchen products can bring.
In the pet food industry the move away from the artificial horrors of yesteryear is proving to be a much slower process than it has been in the human food industry, and I would say the pet food market as a whole is still decades behind the situation in human food. Millions of pet owners still pump their pets full of artificial chemicals as they feed mainstream brands that rely on colours, preservatives and flavours to make their cheap ingredients palatable to the pets and attractive to the owners. These manufacturers see no reason to change their ways? Well, I would say that the health of the nation's pets is one very good reason, as the evidence continues to mount about the harm that these chemical-laden foods are doing to our pets.
